.... It went something like "My dog's better than your dog... my dog's better than yours...." LOL That's got to be bringing up some good ol' days memories for a few of you! ANYWAY... I always think of that jingle when I hear ladies talk about their bikes. Which bike is the best? Which is most comfortable? Which is more powerful? Which is sharper looking? Faster? More practical? More customizable... and the list goes on. This forum is intended to be a way to share information about all types of bikes. I absolutely LOVE my Harley Street Bob!! (Can I hear an "OH YEAH!!"??) But I also recently read an article about a new Honda cross-over bike, the DN-01 that I'd love to learn more about. SO, keep an open mind, share what you know, learn what you can, and love the bike you ride!!

I am not a one-brand only biker. I love ALL bikes. I buy what appeals to me based upon looks, handling, and specific items that fit my needs/wants. I've owned a Harley Electra Glide, a Honda 500 4-stroke, a Honda Shadow ACE, a Kawasaki Ninja and a Kawasaki Vulcan Custom 900 Special Edition (current). It's not the cc that draws me (I could care less if it has 2400 cc or 250 cc)..it's other attributes that draws me. I have a bucket list when it comes to bikes. I like the Star Raider, the V-Max, the Hayabusa, Ninja, sport tourers, Harleys...you name it. I love to ride so whatever gets me there is "it".

Hey Queen of Hearts~ Being an equal-opportunity bike lover is awesome!! Do you have favorite things about certain types of bikes? Is there a better bike for less experienced riders (other than just smaller)? Thanks for your contributions!!

I agree with Queen of Hearts... it's not bike brand for me either, it's what fits. Being only 5 foot leaves a lot of bikes out for me unless they can be lowered. Personally the Honda Shadow line works for me - seems to fit us shorter folks.

The only person that it should matter to what you ride is YOU! People can comment on the bike I ride when they buy it for me and pay the insurance and upkeep Wink

Ride, Ride Safe and Ride often!

Anyone who is looking to purchase a bike should go sit on every bike every dealer has...based upon the type you are looking for such as cruiser or sportbike or sport tourer. Ask the people who ride the type you are interested in as to what features they like best, what would they change, what features they don't like about that type of bike. I would suggest buying a used bike as the first bike, but buy from a reliable source because you need to keep up the maintenance. You can get lower prices buying from a previous owner but you need someone who is savy to spot possible damage or one not mechanically sound. I look for balance, how the bike fits me and its reliability factor. I also research and read every available review (from professionals and owners alike). No one bike is absolutely perfect. There are always things that you change or add based upon your own personal preferences.
