Recognition and celebration fuel esteem, and esteem drives self-image and success. At Oh Yeah... I Ride!!, we feel that proudly and confidently acknowledging the unique roles we play in life serves to enhance self-esteem, ultimately driving fulfillment, satisfaction, and success. Our Mission is to celebrate, promote, encourage and empower women by establishing an expectation of equality in riding, and in other activities and roles where females have been traditionally underrepresented.
A Note From Dawn
Welcome to Oh Yeah... I Ride!! As we launch this new site, which a few months ago was nothing more than a pipe-dream and today has become the first of a family of websites dedicated to women who have chosen to pursue careers and hobbies which have been traditionally male-dominated, I'm excited and optimistic about the possibilities!!
There are many great riding clubs and organizations for lady riders, vendors who have products geared toward lady riders, safety courses and information for new and experienced riders, but there hasn't yet been any unifying theme or central resource to establish a community of lady riders throughout the world. With the rapidly growing population of lady riders, that is my hope for this site. Global membership and support will help us to spread the word that riding is not just for the guys, and encourage and empower more women to experience the joy of riding.
Initially, you'll see that we've got a solid foundation on which the site can grow to become a dynamic and robust resource for lady riders. However, because the site is new, the content is still fairly limited. Both the informational content and partner recommendations will continue to grow over time, and the true value in this site will come from your contributions, recommendations, and networking. In addition to information forums, product and service recommendations, links to riding clubs, organizations and publications, announcements about events, and custom Oh Yeah products, we will also host web-cast sessions on riding-related topics specifically for lady riders, sponsor rider safety courses and information sessions, and organize events and activities to help encourage and empower both new and experienced riders.
I invite you to take a few moments to explore the site, sign in as a member, start a discussion in one of our many discussion forums, and be one of the first to order your limited edition "Oh Yeah...I Ride!!" Innaugural Member pin or "Oh Yeah...I Ride!!" patch! Also, be sure to take advantage of the opportunity as a member to recommend product or service providers who may be valuable resources for other site members and visitors, as well as any lady rider clubs and organizations that our visitors and members may consider joining. I'll look forward to your feedback on suggestions for how to continue to enhance and build this to be the premier resource for lady riders!
